Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing refynd.ca or creating an account on Refynd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Refynd provides a content evaluation platform where users can submit content (YouTube titles, Instagram captions, X/Twitter posts, LinkedIn posts, and ad copy) to be evaluated by panels of domain experts. Our service includes real-time expert panel evaluations, psychology-backed scoring, competitive analysis, and actionable improvement suggestions.

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account via Clerk authentication to use the platform.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• One account per person. Automated account creation is prohibited.

4. Credits & Payments

• Refynd operates on a credit-based system. Credits are required to run content evaluations.
• New accounts receive 50 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased in packages.
• Credits never expire and are non-transferable between accounts.
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in USD.
• Refunds on unused credits are available within 14 days of purchase. Used credits are non-refundable.
• Credit costs per evaluation vary by panel size and evaluation mode. Current pricing is displayed in the app before you submit.

5. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Refynd for evaluation. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it through our evaluation pipeline solely for the purpose of providing you with results.

You agree not to submit content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Contains hate speech, threats, or harassment
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malicious code or attempts to exploit the platform

6. Evaluation Results

Evaluation results are provided for informational purposes. While our expert panels use research-backed evaluation dimensions, we do not guarantee that following our suggestions will produce specific outcomes (e.g., higher click-through rates, more engagement). Content performance depends on many factors beyond the scope of our evaluations.

7. Sharing Results

You may share evaluation results via share links generated by the platform. Shared results are accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for who you share your results with.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform code, evaluation methodologies, expert panel systems, scoring algorithms, UI design, and branding are owned by Refynd. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform without written permission.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Exceed rate limits (10 submissions per minute per user)
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from our platform
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our evaluation methodology
• Create multiple accounts to exploit free credits
• Use our service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refynd and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service, including but not limited to losses arising from content decisions based on our evaluation results.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page. Upon deletion, your evaluation history will be permanently removed. Unused credits on terminated accounts (for violations) are non-refundable.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario.
